1. Pre treatment: After cleaning the substrate, remove surface impurities, rust, and oil; Chemical coating treatment is
applied to the clean substrate surface to increase the adhesion between the substrate and the coating, ensuring that the
subsequent coating can firmly adhere to the steel plate surface.
2. Coating: Currently, the most commonly used coating method is roller coating, which brings the paint from the paint tray to
the coating roller through a feeding roller, forms a certain thickness of wet film on the coating roller, and then transfers
this wet film to the substrate surface.
3. Control the coating thickness within a certain range by adjusting the roller gap, pressure, and roller speed. The roller
coating method is used, and the coating is very uniform.
4. Curing baking: Coatings undergo chemical polymerization, addition polymerization, crosslinking and other reactions through
the main film-forming substances, auxiliary film-forming substances and curing agents at a certain temperature and other
conditions, transforming from liquid to solid state. Curing not only firmly bonds the coating to the steel plate, but also
gives it certain mechanical and physical properties.
5. Currently, the market usually adopts the two coating and two drying process of coating both the front and back sides
simultaneously.
6. Subsequent processing: including embossing, printing, laminating and other processing methods, as well as
waxing or adding protective film, which not only increases the anti-corrosion effect of the color coated board, but also
protects it from scratches during transportation or processing.
